Susan Evans Muhlenkamp, CEO & Founder

Born in Evansville, Indiana in 1946, Susan has always had a strong work ethic, for which she credits her parents. Her father worked for Whirlpool in Evansville for 42 years, and her mother was a homemaker who raised seven children. Because of their influence, she says, “I always like to have something going on, I like to keep busy.”

Susan has always had a passion for skin-care, health and the medical spa industry. “ ‘Xanadu’ actually popped into my head one night when I was lying in bed, and I thought its meaning was just perfect,” says Susan Muhlenkamp, CEO and founder of Xanadu Med Spa, which opened in Fort Collins on Valentine’s Day of 2009. “Our slogan is, ‘Enhance your natural beauty, the beauty that you deserve’,” Muhlenkamp says. “I like to work hard and I like making people feel better about themselves, improving their self esteem, and Xanadu is a business that allows me to do that.” Her strong interest in nutrition, health and skin-care led her to develop her own spa merchandise line, Xanadu SpaCeuticals. Xanadu’s SpaCeuticals first product line, X, featuring premium European spa products such as organic soap, European exfoliants partnered with rich body creams and European soy candles.

Susan has been featured in the media on television program, Good Day Colorado, and been on the cover of Lydia’s STYLE Media magazine in August, 2010. As for her business future, Muhlenkamp would like not only to expand Xanadu but to add additional business interests. “Eventually, I’d like to move to a larger, more visible location,” she says. “We’ve had a steady climb in profits so someday I’d love to own a building where I could offer different services on each floor; Xanadu on one, a gym on another, even a floor with doctors on staff in a hospital setting where we could offer a full array of cosmetic surgery procedures. I see the whole thing in my mind’s eye and I get excited and want it to materialize.”

Dr. Paczosa, D.O

Dr. Paczosa, Board Certified in Family Medicine, is our newest addition to the Xanadu Med Spa team! Dr. Paczonsa has been practicing since 1997 and has done extensive training in Aesthetic Medicine throughout the United States. Michelle is also certified is cosmetic injectables such as Botox and cosmetic fillers!

Amber H., LMT

Amber has been a practicing Massage Therapist for eight years. She studied at Boulder School of Massage Therapy and is certified in a variety of massage techniques. At Xanadu, she specializes in sports massage, deep tissue massage, and relaxation techniques.

Doug B., CMT

Among all interests that incorporate the body’s health, Doug Burkes, believes massage therapy is quintessential in preventing long term physical problems such as back pain and poor posture. Doug has notable experience in pain relief, deep tissue massage and spa relaxation.

Jacqueline B., RN

Jacqueline, RN, is Xanadu’s newest addition to our medical staff. Jacqueline received her injectable certifications from renowned cosmetic surgeon, Dr. Jeff Raval, MD, and received her Rhonda Allison training from Rhonda Allison’s most acknowledgeable representative, Dariya Arman-Mann, B.A., M.A.,in Colorado. Jacqueline’s experience has led her to be able to help her clients reach their goals by using the most effective methods that makes every client leave smiling.

Jennifer M., Cosmetologist

Jennifer M. joined Xanadu June 2010 and is a Cosmetologist and an Esthetician. She earned her Cosmotology & Esthetician license in beautiful Fort Collins and is continuing her education to provide only the upmost expertise and care for her clients. Jen specializes in acne treatments, european facials, LumiLift Therapy sessions, microdermabrasions and much more!

Melissa W., RN

Xanadu’s , Melissa W., is a registered nurse from Wyoming. Her expertise as a RN is to administer cosmetic injectables, perform laser treatments and so much more. Melissa is always more than happy to sit with clients and answer any questions regarding Botox, Dermal Fillers and DOT Therapy (Co2 skin rejuvenation).
