Fort Collins AviClear Acne Treatment

AviClear Acne Treatment

Say Goodbye to Acne and Hello to Clear, Radiant Skin With Our AviClear Acne Treatment in Fort Collins!

Acne is the most common skin issue that people deal with in the United States. Every single year 50 million Americans have to deal with acne. To combat this, there have been numerous acne treatments offered to sufferers over the years, but up until now, there has not been an acne treatment that works across the board.

Some of these treatments include cleansers, toners, creams, and even laser treatments, prescriptions, topical steroid creams, and Accutane. While these methods do work for a number of people, there are a lot of potential side effects, including skin redness and inflammation. What’s more, many individuals find they do not meet the requirements to undergo these acne treatments in the first place.

What is Acne?

Acne is a skin condition caused by the secretion of sebum that plugs up your hair follicles with dead skin and oil. This leads to blackheads, pimples, whiteheads, and spots.

Acne commonly occurs when hormonal changes occur in teenagers, but it can also happen for a number of other reasons.

Causes of Acne

Acne is believed to be caused by four factors:

– Excess oil (sebum) production.

-Hair follicles are clogged by oil and dead skin cells.

-Bacteria.

-Inflammation.

Usually, acne appears on your face, forehead, upper back, or chest because in these areas of skin, there are a lot of glands that produce sebum.

Your hair follicles are connected to special oil glands. When the follicle wall bulges, it produces a whitehead, if it breaks the skin, you may have pores that open and fill with oil that lead to blackheads. When these blackheads are exposed to bacteria, they may brown off, leaving a more visible spot.

Pimples are spots that have a raised center. This occurs due to inflammation of blocked hair follicles, leading to a cyst-like lump in the skin.

Certain things may trigger or worsen acne:

Hormonal changes

When teenagers have an increase in androgenic hormones during puberty, the sebum glands can enlarge and become overactive. This isn’t just limited to puberty either; women and men going through hormonal changes in mid-life may experience acne too.

Certain medications

Including a number of drugs that contain steroids and testosterone.

Diet

Certain studies have shown that carbohydrates, especially white carbs like potato chips and bread, could lead to an increase in acne symptoms

Stress

Although stress should not cause acne in the first place, it can worsen acne in those that already suffer.

How Does the AviClear Acne Treatment Work?

AviClear is designed to tackle both mild and severe cases of acne. A first-of-its-kind, this laser-based treatment works on all skin tones and can handle even the most major breakouts.

AviClear works by selectively targeting and suppressing the glands that are responsible for producing sebum, the oily substance that causes breakouts. Studies and experts alike agree that the overproduction of sebum by the sebaceous glands is the leading cause of acne, especially when sufferers live in high-pollution areas.

AviClear gets to work by targeting the sebaceous glands with a special laser that works at 1726nm. Over a series of 30-minute sessions, this treatment of the glands reduces the amount of sebum being produced. Normal plans involve three sessions once a month, and the results are immediate. You should suffer shorter, less frequent acne breakouts, and they should be less intense.

Acne treatments such as pills, topicals, and peels have not evolved in nearly 30 years, making AviClear, which has been extensively designed with both patient and physician input, an incredible new option for long-term and short-term acne sufferers alike.

How Long Do AviClear Results Last?

AviClear has two major benefits. The first benefit is the immediate reduction of their current existing acne. The second benefit is the reduction in further breakouts and breakout intensity. Most patients respond well to treatment, with around 80% of patients reporting a reduction of 50% and 90% of patients stating they were satisfied or very satisfied with the results just one month after treatment.

90% of patients in the study groups saw a drastic improvement in their acne after three months, and every patient in that group said that after six months, there was an even bigger improvement.

This means that AviClear acne treatments show promising results and a massive improvement of symptoms for up to six months. From the early data coming from patients coming up to the nine-month mark, the results appear to be just as strong.

As patients who may have tried other options like Accutane may know, there can never be a 100% guarantee that a treatment will work, and some patients may require several rounds of treatment.

Who is a Candidate for AviClear at Our Fort Collins Med Spa?

AviClear has been clinically proven to be an effective and safe treatment across all age groups and ethnicities and on all skin types. For patients struggling with teen acne or adult acne, this new treatment is the perfect option.

AviClear, unlike many acne treatments, targets the sebum without affecting the melanin that is prevalent in dark skin tones. The wavelength that the laser uses (1726nm), is only actively absorbed by the glands that produce the sebum. This means the laser directly targets the cause of acne for people of all ethnicities.

If you want long-lasting results and you are motivated enough to follow the protocols to the letter, you could see massive improvements from the AviClear treatment.

AviClear is a great acne treatment for parents who are worried about subjecting their teenagers to harsh chemicals and peels. The AviClear treatment is mild on the skin and can be used to treat the mildest acne through to the most severe acne.

Finally, it is the perfect choice for those who have tried all of the other alternatives, such as Isotretinoin, commonly known as Accutane. In the study groups, there was a lot of success when it came to treating patients with severe acne who had previously tried antibiotics or Accutane, with many patients claiming the results were nothing short of ‘miraculous”.

Are There any Risks or Side Effects to AviClear?

The treatment lasts 30 minutes, and during this time, the patient may notice some strange sensations, but patients describe the sensation as a mild snapping sensation, similar to a rubber band. The AviClear laser has a dedicated temperature control system that monitors the skins temperature and heats or cools the skin to ensure the patient is comfortable.

There are little to no side effects, and there is no need for any downtime after the treatment. Patients can return to work in the same capacity as soon as the acne treatment is finished. Some patients may suffer from an acne flare-up immediately after the procedure, but that is normal, and after a few days, the breakout should calm down, and by the third acne treatment, there should not be a flare-up.

What is the Aftercare of AviClear Like?

You don’t need to change your skincare routine following AviClear treatment, and you can resume your daily life without the need for any aftercare. The one thing that is important after AviCare is that you wear high-quality sunblock when you are in the sun.

How to Treat Cystic Acne

Cystic acne is a type of inflammatory acne that causes painful pimples deep under the skin. While acne is a result of oil and dead skin becoming clogged under the skin, cystic acne is also a result of bacteria in the pores.

Cystic acne is the most severe form of acne; it can be painful and often causes scarring. It can also be very difficult to treat, and options are limited. Cystic acne treatment often involves taking oral antibiotics, prescription-strength topical creams, and topical Benzoyl peroxide. It can take many months to clear up acne cysts, and many people go through various treatments to try and find something that works for them.

AviClear™ works on all types of acne, including cystic acne, hormonal acne, teen acne, and inflammatory acne. The treatment is gentle and safe and a great option for those seeking drug-free and long-term treatment for cystic acne.

How to Treat Teen Acne

Almost all teenagers get pimples, but some teens have acne-prone skin that requires treatment. Although pimples are not a serious health risk, if left untreated, there is a risk of permanent scars and damaged self-esteem.

One common condition that teens face is acne vulgaris which is where hair follicles become blocked with dead skin cells, sebum (oil), and bacteria. The main cause of these acne flares is hormone levels, especially around puberty.

Teens may try to cover pimples with makeup or squeeze whiteheads in an attempt to hide them, but this can make acne worse. The best thing is to seek professional treatment from dermatologists or other health practitioners who often treat acne.

Some common teen acne treatments include prescription topical treatments and in-office treatments such as intralesional cortisone injections, red light therapy, or a salicylic acid peel.

The problem with these rational acne treatments for teens is that they do not work for everyone and often require ongoing treatment. Fortunately, teen acne can also be treated with AviClear. AviClear targets the source of the sebum, which means that people of all ages, skin types, and skin tones can benefit.

Accutane Vs. AviClear: What is the Best Acne Treatment?

Accutane is a prescription treatment for acne, given in cases of severe acne that has not responded to other treatments. Although Accutane is an effective treatment for acne, it can also have severe side effects.

Common side effects include dry skin, vision issues, dry eyes, chapped lips, back pain, and joint pain, while the most severe side effects include inflammatory bowel disease, Crohn’s disease, severe birth defects, miscarriage, and mental health conditions, including depression and suicidal thoughts.

The results of AviClear are comparable to Accutane but without the side effects. It is an innovative new solution to acne treatment and is highly recommended for people who want to avoid harsh and invasive acne treatments.
