Results Timeline & Duration

Onset is gradual. You may notice early softening in 2–3 days, with visible change by days 5–7 and peak results at 10–14 days. We schedule a two-week check to assess symmetry and adjust if needed. You’ll see softer motion lines across the glabella (frown), forehead, and crow’s feet, and your face still moves like you.

Results usually last about three to four months, shaped by dose, treatment area, metabolism, and how expressive you tend to be. Athletes and very fast metabolizers may trend closer to three months; first-timers sometimes feel effects slightly sooner as muscles learn to relax. Consistent, on-time maintenance often extends longevity and can reduce the units required over time. For events, plan your appointment four weeks ahead to clear the full settlement window.

Pairing with quality SPF, gentle retinoids (as advised), and hydration protects skin while Botox controls movement lines. If you’re browsing “top rated botox near me” or “best botox places near me,” look for clinics that offer follow-ups, track results with photos, and adjust dosing to your features, not a one-size-fits-all template.

Benefits of Botox

Safe

Botox is one of the most (if not the most) researched cosmetic injectables of all time and has been FDA-approved to treat multiple aesthetic and medical issues.

Versatile

Botox is approved to treat many issues including wrinkles, migraines, and more. It can also be combined with other treatments.

Effective

At Xanadu Med Spa, Botox is the go-to treatment for preventing future wrinkles and maintaining smooth skin.

How It Works

Botox works by using a neurotoxin called botulinum toxin type A. By injecting small, purified doses, we can stop some of the muscle contractions that cause wrinkles in the first place.

With these involuntary contractions stopped, you can maintain your youthful appearance for much longer. And the best thing about Botox in Fort Collins—it can treat almost all areas of your face! Concerned about pain or discomfort? Here’s exactly what getting Botox feels like.

What Botox Does and How It Works

Botox is one of the most trusted and effective treatments for smoothing fine lines and wrinkles, helping you achieve a refreshed, youthful appearance without surgery or downtime. This FDA-approved injectable works by temporarily relaxing the facial muscles responsible for expression lines – such as crow’s feet, forehead creases, and frown lines between the brows. When these muscles soften, the overlying skin appears smoother, more even, and naturally rejuvenated.

At Xanadu Med Spa in Fort Collins, our expert injectors use advanced techniques to deliver subtle, natural-looking results that enhance your features without changing your unique expression. Beyond cosmetic benefits, Botox can also help with concerns such as jaw tension, TMJ, and excessive sweating. The treatment takes just minutes, with results that begin to appear within days and last up to four months – leaving you looking refreshed, confident, and effortlessly radiant.

Let’s Get Real

Taking the Filter Off of Medical Aesthetics

Episode 1

In our first episode, we talk real results and real passion, covering chemical peels, personalized care, and why educating patients is at the heart of what we do. No filters, just honest conversations about what makes medical aesthetics so rewarding.

What to Expect

When you’re ready for Botox, we’ll have you lie down on our treatment table and our injector will use an alcohol wipe to clean the treatment area. This will help prevent infections from occurring after your injections.

Treatment can take anywhere from 5 to 15 minutes depending on what areas of the face you are treating. You should be completely comfortable during your injections and will be able to return to your daily activities as normal after your appointment is finished.

Pricing Plans

We keep pricing transparent and aligned to goals. Your total depends on the number of areas, muscle strength, and units needed to achieve a soft, natural look. New to Botox? Start with a conservative plan and a two-week review to fine-tune. Returning guests often choose value bundles that lock predictable maintenance across the year. Every plan includes a consultation, sterile single-use supplies, precise mapping, and post-care guidance; some tiers add follow-up photos and priority booking.

We accept HSA/FSA where eligible and offer memberships that reduce per-unit cost when you pair Botox with facials or skincare. Not sure how much you’ll need? We’ll show you a range before we begin, then only treat what makes sense today. If you’ve been searching “best botox near me,” think expert dosing, clear options, and no pressure.

Pre-Treatment Instructions

These instructions will help make your appointment for Botox in Fort Collins go smoothly.

Avoid These Medications

Avoid aspirin, ibuprofen, Advil, and blood thinners (fish oil, vitamin E) for 10 days before your Botox appointment.

Stop Using Retinoid Products

Stop using all retinol or retinoid products 2 days before your appointment to ensure your skin isn’t too sensitive during your injections.

No Alcohol/Tobacco

Stop using alcohol and tobacco products 2 days before your appointment, as these will prevent your skin from healing.

Take Zinc Supplements

Studies have shown that higher amounts of Zinc in the body during the time of injection can heighten the efficacy of Botox’s effects.

Drink Water

Being well-hydrated can help your body heal faster and make the effects of Botox last longer.

Avoid Tanning

Use a minimum of SPF 30 when in direct sunlight, and avoid tanning beds and tanning lotions for the week before your injections.

Post-Treatment Instructions

Following these instructions will help your skin heal faster and maintain your Botox results.

Do Not Touch

Do not touch or massage the areas of your face that were treated with Botox. This could move the material from the spot where it needs to be.

Avoid Direct Sunlight

Continue to avoid tanning lotions, tanning beds, and direct sunlight for a week following your appointment. Make sure to wear a minimum of SPF 30 when in direct sunlight.

Stay Upright

Keep your head upright for at least 4 hours after your treatment to reduce swelling and speed up the healing process.

No Strenuous Activity

Do not work out or do any strenuous activity for at least 24 hours following your appointment for Botox in Fort Collins.

Avoid Irritants

For one week after your appointment, avoid using products or treatments that will irritate your skin like scrubs, toners, and abrasive cleansers.

Sleep Elevated

Make sure your head is slightly elevated when you sleep to help reduce swelling.

Side‑Effects & Safety Info

Botox is well-tolerated when dosed and placed by trained providers. Common, short-term effects include pinpoint redness, mild tenderness, a small bruise, or a light headache—usually fading within 24–72 hours. Rare effects include brow or eyelid heaviness, temporary asymmetry, or smile changes; these typically resolve as the product settles. To lower risk, arrive with clean skin, pause alcohol the day before, and tell us about blood thinners, recent illness, or planned events.

After treatment, avoid rubbing or massaging injection sites, heavy exercise, saunas, and tight headwear for the first day. Stay upright for four hours and skip facials for a week. Pregnant or breastfeeding clients, or anyone with an active infection at the site, should defer. Our clinicians customize placement to keep expression natural and results balanced—one reason patients trust us for Botox injections in Fort Collins.
