What to Expect
When you walk into Xanadu Med Spa for your Sculptra appointment, our team will have you lie down on the treatment table. We’ll clean your skin with an alcohol wipe to ensure there is little risk of you developing a skin infection after your injections.
The only discomfort you may feel during your appointment is when the syringe is inserted into your skin. Otherwise, your appointment should be completely painless and very comfortable. Once your injector is finished, you’ll be able to return to your day as normal.
Pre-Treatment Instructions
These instructions will help your Sculptra appointment run smoothly.
No Alcohol/Tobacco
Avoid using alcohol or tobacco products for 24 hours before your appointment, as these will prevent healing and reduce the efficacy of Sculptra.
Stop Using These Products
2 days before your appointment, stop using topical skin products that contain retinol, glycolic acid, alpha-hydroxy acid, and other anti-aging products.
Avoid These Medications
Avoid taking any blood thinning medications like aspirin, ibuprofen, Aleve, garlic supplements, Vitamin E, St. John’s Wort, omega-3, or fish oil the week before your injections.
Post-Treatment Instructions
Follow these instructions to achieve the best results with Sculptra in Fort Collins.
No Touching
Do not touch the treatment area after your Sculptra injections. This could move the material around and prevent you from achieving the best results.
Avoid Alcohol
Consuming alcohol or excessive amounts of salt after treatment could cause swelling, so we ask that you avoid these products for at least 48 hours after your injections.
No Direct Sunlight
Avoid direct sunlight for at least 3 days after treatment to avoid irritating your skin. Use a minimum of SPF 30 when going outside.
