Welcome to part three of this three-part series on the fillers and injectables we provide at Xanadu Med Spa of Fort Collins. As the title no doubt gave away, today’s post concerns Kybella dermal fillers, Kybella costs, and other aspects of this exciting cosmetic filler treatment.
But before we dive head-first into today’s topic, allow us to say a few words about what sets us apart as a Fort Collins med spa. Though we also offer a holistic suite of day spa services, we are proud to be a local med spa that offers a range of non-surgical cosmetic options which help our patients feel and look more vibrant and whole!
Plain and simple, we are the premier destination in Northern Colorado for skin rejuvenation and anti-aging services. Our aesthetic products are top-quality, which means our patients have unique access to name brands like SkinMedica™ BOTOX®, JUVÉDERM®, and LATISSE®.
But our first-time customers become long-term clients for more reasons than simply our access to name brands. Not only are our technicians well-trained and experienced with a variety of day and med spa-related treatments, but everyone on staff is committed to exceeding your expectations while enhancing your natural beauty. We are passionate about providing a relaxing, comforting atmosphere while you detox, destress, and de-everything while we pamper away!
When you come to Xanadu Med Spa of Fort Collins, you get the best of both worlds. For one, we’ve made concerted efforts to make our Fort Collins spa inviting and warm. Beyond that, we offer advanced cosmetic procedures that are typically only available at the doctor’s office. We have experienced and skilled therapists and estheticians, and all of our injectable treatments are performed by our owner and founder, Shannon Fielding, RN, under the close supervision of our medical director, Dr. Eric Olsen, M.D. Whether you hail from Fort Collins, Loveland, Windsor, Greeley, Berthoud, Windsor, or beyond, we’d love for you to come visit us and see what treatment(s) might be right for you!
Kybella Treatment In Fort Collins
If you’ve been looking for a solution to take care of that double chin that cropped up out of nowhere over the past several years, Kybella dermal filler is a great solution for that issue, also referred to as submental fullness. According to research administered by the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery (ASDS), two out of three people say that they are bothered by their double chin. While having a double chin is nothing to be embarrassed about, as a broad range of adults are impacted by it, it is also the case that submental fullness is an under-treated condition. You might try to solve the situation on your own through exercise and dietary changes, but the research shows that factors like aging, weight gain, and even genetics play a dominant role in the equation.
KYBELLA® (deoxycholic acid) injection is the first and only FDA-approved injectable treatment which is able to contour and improve submental fullness. It has been approved for the improvement in moderate to severe convexity (fullness) that is associated with submental fat found in many adults.
Put another way, it’s a good choice to solve your double chin.
How Does Kybella Work?
Synthetic deoxycholic acid is the active ingredient found in Kybella. Deoxycholic acid, found in the body, helps with the absorption and breakdown of dietary fat. When the treatment is applied to an acute area like the chin, Kybella actually destroys fat cells. Obviously, when these fat cells are done away with, they aren’t able to store or gather fat like they once did. Practically speaking, this means that once you have reached your personal goal in terms of appearance, you shouldn’t have to return for ongoing treatment. That is a massive benefit of electing to go with Kybella for non-invasive double chin reduction treatment!
What Is The Kybella Treatment Like?
Shannon Fielding, RN, is our resident Kybella-trained healthcare specialist here at Xanadu Spa of Fort Collins. Before starting your treatment, we will take a thorough look at the area in question (on and around your chin) so we can see if you are a candidate for Kybella injections. If so, we’ll put together a customized treatment based on the amount of fat under your chin, coupled with your personal aesthetic goals.
We will note that there will likely be some swelling after the treatment, along with potential bruising or numbness under your chin. Further, it’s difficult to project the exact number of treatments each patient will require, due to the fact that each person responds uniquely to the treatment combined with the fact that we all have different aesthetic goals to meet. That being said, we are happy to work with you to develop a tailored treatment plan that you are both comfortable and excited about.
Other Injectables And Fillers
Botox, Juvederm, and Kybella are three of our most popular dermal filler treatment types. However, we are still able to get regular Dysport, Restylane, Prevelle, Belotero, and Restylane Silk if you have a special request. We are here to meet your needs, but we’ve found that our patients strongly prefer the Allergan Botox and Juvederm XC family of injectables and fillers due to the simple fact that these treatments offer benefits which last much longer. At the end of the day, that’s one of the most important factors to consider!
